Sports

damage done by sports or occupational injury and assist the sufferer
back to maximum mobility. First the therapist will take a case history
and examine the effected area, observing mobility. This can then
be followed by some manipulation (hands on). The therapist will
then make a recommendation for a course of treatment - further massage
sessions, sometimes in conjunction with exercises, sometimes therapy
aids such as balancing blocks or trampette, rubber aid bands, or
free weights etc. (prices up to £30 per hour)

Exercise
Advice, Instruction & Programming are all crucial to full
recovery after an injury to improve fitness levels and achieve physical
and mental well-being. Exercises will be explained and practised
to ensure the correct techniques are being used.
Stretching
Techniques are very important too. Stretching keeps the body
supple, enhances performance and reduces the incidence of injury.
It also speeds up recovery, reduces soreness following exertion
and keeps the muscles toned and balanced. In addition, it helps
to ease out 'tension knots', spasms and improves posture.
Rehabilitation
Programmes can be devised for longer term to build up to competitive
levels or regain strength and suppleness lost to injury.
